Cities in Transition, is a movement created by Englishman Rob Hopkins with the aim of developing skills for the transformation of current cities into sustainable cities.
The Transition network's mission is to build resilient cities, less dependent on fossil fuels and more integrated with nature.
The movement flourishes from observation and learning through the organic needs and initiatives of each place.
The focus of the transition is INSPIRING, ENCOURAGING, TRAINING, SUPPORTING and CONNECTING communities to build a better life.
The transition cities movement believes that the exchange of experiences and creativity are the bases that strengthen a system capable of mitigating losses in the face of economic and climatic uncertainties that dominate the planet.
