Millennials and Holy Sites in Delhi
Delhi has some very important and special places to enjoy:
when to visit lotus-temple, it will surely be a place to contemplate and enjoy the silence amidst the chaos of the big city. Sit for the minutes you want, enjoy. If it is open, as sometimes whoever has the key has not yet arrived, etc., it is worth checking out the Bahá'í Faith exhibit on the way out. With the story of its founder, some of its messages and its social work around the world.
Another very special and important place, if you allow time on your itinerary, is the National Museum in Delhi. Here you can learn a little better about the Indus Saravasti Culture, where Indian knowledge and practices existed for approx. 5 millennia, and you can sit for a moment next to one of the buddha relics.
If you have more time, something quite simple that I really like to do in Delhi when I'm around, is to go to Ramakrishna Ashram (in Paharganj near Connaught Place) at the end of the day, usually around sunset time (we can check the time), enter the ashram temple together with the people who live or work in the area, and sit for a while in the midst of their ceremony, called Aarti. They have an interesting bookstore at the entrance of the ashram and sometimes teachings (to be seen in advance also if interested).
