Welcome to India! Upon your arrival, Guilherme will be waiting for you in the airport area that we will discuss shortly (as we did in the briefing about the group's arrival in Kathmandu), which you can see in the image above and on the Arrival in Delhi page. here.
Your flight has a good history of arriving on time, sometimes arriving a little earlier. So we should be leaving the airport around 9:30 or 10:00, depending on the airport traffic, the immigration queue and the time it takes to get your luggage ready. Time to head to Rajasthan. A 5 to 6 hour drive to the state capital, Jaipur. Little by little, the landscape will get closer to the Thar Desert pass, where we will see beautiful plantations, women in colorful saris and some mountains with temples on top.
Tip about starting the tour tomorrow: there is the possibility of climbing up to the fort with the help of an elephant. A few years ago, they started to limit the number of climbs per elephant, a great measure to avoid overloading and stressing the animals. Therefore, there are a limited number of elephants and climbs for each of them. We will talk to your guide at the end of the day to make sure that you leave the hotel at a time that will ensure that you arrive at the front of the line at the maximum possible time that will ensure that there is an elephant, if you prefer to climb.

Cooking Class
We'll start our day early to climb up to Fort Amber, with the possibility of an elephant's help on this climb. See note at the end of the previous day on the number of elephants, please. We will walk through the halls, gardens, chambers and secret passages, with views of the region of the palace of the rajput and general of Akbar's army, Man Sing. In the same village of Amber, near Jaipur, we have the option of visiting a museum about the 'block printing' painting technique, set up by the Anokhi store.
On the way back to the pink city, as ancient Jaipur is known, we will stop on the shores of a lake where there is a palace on an island, called Jal Mahal. A restaurant suggestion, quite old and traditional, very funny actually, where we ate approx. 20 years is the LMB. In the old part of the city, everyone knows it. One of the good options is the Veg Thali, a combination of several Indian foods (rice, lentils, vegetables, yogurt, see if a butter nan or plain nan is already available if you don't order it, it's delicious). Ask not to come spicy but it should come a little or a little. So a sweet or banana lassi to go with it can be great!
We'll see how they are and then we'll think about what we'll do that afternoon, so we can go to the cooking class we've already arranged with Chef Lokesh (extra activity).

Time to get to know the pink city, as ancient Jaipur is known, a little better.
We will visit the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds, built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 so that women could watch the hustle and bustle of the streets without being seen. We will also visit the City Palace Museum and the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory also from the XNUMXth century, now protected by UNESCO, consisting of large instruments of incredible precision that are still used today.
At the end of the morning we will continue our journey back to Delhi for the flight to Nepal tomorrow.
