We continued our journey for approximately 3 hours to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan state.
Known as the pink city, the old part of Jaipur was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II with influences from the traditional Vedic architecture and urban planning principles of Vastu Shastra and Prastara.
We will walk to the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of Winds, an icon of India. We continued walking to the astronomical observatory. Jantar Mantaralso from the 18th century, protected by UNESCO, consisting of large instruments of incredible precision even today. And then we will visit the City Palace Museum, part of the palace where the royal family lives to this day, dedicated to presenting the history of the city.
What we always discuss with our fellow travellers, and what always proves true, is this: Our trips are carefully planned so that we can enjoy our days in India in the best and most meaningful way possible. Even so, to a large extent, it's the unplanned aspects that will create many of our special memories. Among the visits, there are always temples where we can stop and observe how they are part of the locals' daily lives. People we meet on the street. Unique images of India that are so important to us and that we also enjoy. Experiences that tend to remain in a very special place in our memories. Lessons that we assimilate over the years.
For those who are feeling adventurous, we can visit an old shop selling traditional sweets. There will be no shortage of things to see and enjoy in Old Jaipur.
