Visits as mentioned in the travel program with the tickets includedIf there happens to be a special opportunity for an extra activity consistent with the theme of the trip, the trip's instructors may suggest altering the order of the visits, such as, more rarely, replacing one visit with this activity;

Local guides will accompany the group in visits to monuments and other tours in general, except in a few regions that the Rojo Family knows well and it is more pleasant to visit without guides (explained in detail in the briefing if interested), or when mentioned according to the travel program;

Land transport in the group's own vehicles with extra care Regarding the quality of the vans and buses we use;

Accommodation in double rooms at the hotels mentioned on the accommodation page. Generally, check-in is at 14 PM and check-out is at 12 PM. If you require an earlier check-in upon arrival in Mumbai or a later check-out upon departure from Delhi, please let us know so we can check the prices and make the reservations as you wish.

MealsBreakfast is included in the hotel rates for all trips. During our stay at the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute in Lonavla, all three meals are included at the institute itself. If at any point you wish to try restaurants in the city or eat at the institute's café, that is also possible. These extra meals in the city and at the café are not included.

Meals and drinks except breakfastOn average, we can consider that with US$35 a day we can eat very well in these countries, depending on what, where, and how much we eat. In large cities, such as Delhi, the amount may be slightly higher, and in small towns much lower. On average, it tends to be less, as we have already discussed or will explain in the briefing. Remember that specifically during our stay at the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute in Lonavla, three meals are included at the institute itself. If at any point you wish to try restaurants in the city or eat at the institute's café, that is also possible. These extra meals in the city and at the café are not included.

Transportation where not mentioned in the program.For example, for dining out of the hotel. Taxis and Uber for short and medium rides usually cost between US$2 and US$7;

International transfers if you prefer or need to arrive or depart on different flights. For the majority of the group (who usually travel on the same flights), we will organize an assisted transfer with our local partners, also with all the care and online support from Chörten, as an extra service with a price according to the number of people.

Service Providers, Infrastructure and Local Cultures

We have a lot of experience operating travel in these regions of the world. We work with very good local partners within the possibilities of these countries. Even so, it is important to bear in mind that the quality of services and local infrastructure (hotels, transportation, food, etc.) are not the same as in Brazil, Europe and North America. Most of the time, they will surprise us very positively, for example, for their human qualities and, sometimes, even for the technical aspect of the service. But unforeseen and problems must happen. It is our job, responsibility and even pleasure, at Chörten and our partners, to foresee them and, when necessary, take care of getting around them in the best possible way. So that, in this way, the most important responsibility falls to Travellers: to enjoy the trip in the most peaceful, pleasant and profitable way possible. As part of this responsibility, we understand that we are traveling in these incredible countries and cultures, very different from ours in many aspects and that teach us so much. The better we understand these cultures, the better quality and tranquility we will enjoy our trip.

Cancellation Policies

Thinking about what's best for Chörten Travellers We believe it is important for Chörten Travellers to understand how the various cancellation policies of all actors involved in organizing a trip work.

We don't expect you to read everything. If you want to read carefully, great. If not, keeping in mind how busy our lives are today, just take a look at the levels in more detailed explanations here, summarized below.

Normally cancellation more than 60 days before the trip We usually offer full refunds for land-based expenses (hotels, guides, drivers, vehicles, local tour operators, and Chörten Support). Except in very specific cases, which we will discuss with travellers at the appropriate time and in advance. Regarding domestic and international flights, we will check the fare rules of each airline involved.

Starting 60 days before the trip It has become increasingly common for hotels to require full confirmation of their room rates. Even so, of course, we will discuss this with them. In most cases, it should work out that there is no retention of this type of money. We will discuss and check the situation with the other ground service providers.

With 30 days or less of travel time It becomes more complicated to obtain reimbursement for the land portion of the trip, that is, from the service providers listed above. Even so, we will always check and discuss the matter with each of them. To date, we have always managed to obtain very good refunds, sometimes in full, when a fellow traveller needs to cancel a trip with us. We understand that no one cancels a trip to the destinations we work with without a significant reason. Therefore, we will always do our best to ensure that such a situation receives the best possible care.

Payment
