Land Arrangements
The travel program includes:
Arrivals and Departures are made with full assistance from our local partners. Upon international arrival in Delhi, our local partner maintains telephone contact with Guilherme Samel, director of Chörten, who in this way accompanies with all due care when arriving at the hotel. If you need or prefer to arrive or depart on different flights than the group flight, we will organize extra transfers with the same care, explained in more detail below;
Visits as mentioned in the travel program. In Agra the tickets are already included and in Delhi the tours chosen at the moment do not require a ticket;
Local guides will accompany the group in visits in Nalanda, on the day with tours in Agra and the next day in Delhi. Guilherme will accompany you in Rajgir;
Land transport in the group's own vehicles;
Accommodation in single rooms at the hotels mentioned on the accommodation page. In general, check-ins are at 14:12 p.m. and check-outs are at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. If you need an earlier check-in upon your arrival in Delhi (we do not usually recommend this), please let us know so we can check the prices and make the reservations as you wish. The rooms will be available in Delhi until you go to the airport for your international flight back to Brazil;
Meals: breakfasts are included in hotel.
The trip program does not include:
Meals and drinks, excluding breakfast. On average, we can consider that with US$35 per day we can eat very well in these countries, depending on what, where and how much we eat. In large cities, such as Delhi, the cost may be a little higher and in small cities much lower. It is usually less, as we have already discussed or will explain in the briefing. If you happen to eat most of your meals at the hotels, for convenience and to use your time, we can consider an average of US$50 to US$60 per day for lunch and dinner (both together);
Transport where not mentioned in the program (short and medium taxis usually cost between $2 and 7);
International transfers if you prefer or need to arrive or depart on different flights than most of the group (which usually travel on the same flights). We will organize an assisted transfer with our local partners, also with all the care and online monitoring by Chörten, as an extra service with a value according to the number of people;
Tipping (very important in these cultures): around US$ 8 to 12 per day explained better in the trip briefing;
Voluntary contributions to monasteries, temples, and Dharma teachers that we may encounter while traveling;
Visa for India (paid in Brazil: electronic approx. US$25 or printed approx. R$520 more here);
Travel insurance: very important and therefore highly recommended. More information: here;
Entrance fees to the monuments for a camera and/or video camera, if available (normally between US$ 1 and 5 only in cases where it is charged). Increasingly rare to happen;
Program changes in case of political unforeseen, flight cancellation, political conflicts, epidemic, climatic and geographic unforeseen, new fees and taxes, etc, as well as by governments and/or local service providers in Brazil / India;

Service Providers, Infrastructure and Local Cultures
We have a lot of experience operating travel in these regions of the world. We work with very good local partners within the possibilities of these countries. Even so, it is important to bear in mind that the quality of services and local infrastructure (hotels, transportation, food, etc.) are not the same as in Brazil, Europe and North America. Most of the time, they will surprise us very positively, for example, for their human qualities and, sometimes, even for the technical aspect of the service. But unforeseen and problems must happen. It is our job, responsibility and even pleasure, at Chörten and our partners, to foresee them and, when necessary, take care of getting around them in the best possible way. So that, in this way, the most important responsibility falls to Travellers: to enjoy the trip in the most peaceful, pleasant and profitable way possible. As part of this responsibility, we understand that we are traveling in these incredible countries and cultures, very different from ours in many aspects and that teach us so much. The better we understand these cultures, the better quality and tranquility we will enjoy our trip.

Cancellation Policies
The Ground Part and Domestic Air cancellation policies come into effect from the moment the deposit is paid, when we confirm accommodation reservations, we issue air and train tickets according to the necessary advance notice of each trip. These vary from service provider to service provider that we use on our trip (hotels, airlines, etc.). In general, cancellations up to 90 days before the start of the trip will have payments refunded almost in full, with small cancellation fees from local airlines, train tickets, hotels, local operators and banks. From 60 days before the start of the trip, cancellation rates increase gradually, varying from service provider to service provider. Still, we will certainly do our best and talk to each service provider to see what reimbursement we can get even after this date. Regarding air tickets, each airline and fare has its own cancellation policy.
The Chörten Support cancellation policy is linked to the start of the services provided: Setting up the Travel Program, Traveller Preparations, Logistics and Travel Organization and Monitoring During the Trip. For example, we will not charge for Travel Support if we do not accompany (online or in person) the trip. If the other services are already being provided, they can be used at another time without new charges (just adjustments if any) and thus there will be no refund.
Payment
O Initial payment at the time of registration, the amount corresponding to Chörten Support will be paid into Chörten's bank account in Brazil. We use this amount to guarantee the remuneration of our local partners who work hard at this stage, much more than normal, due to the level of personalization and care with the details that we require on our trips;
A land arrangements and 'domestic' flights: can be paid into Chörten's bank account in Brazil or, in the cases explained below, directly to our local partners.
Always thinking about the best for you, Chörten Travellers, whether more economical, convenient and, of course, legal, we have suggested pay local service providers for their services directly to them. It is common for bank accounts in Brazil today to make international transfers easily. As there is the Wise card nowadays (we explain here), which our Travellers have used a lot in recent years and to date it has worked very well. We are happy to help with both possibilities, which are usually very simple, we can take care of them in just a few minutes.
In the case of India, Brazil has an agreement and you do not pay this tax. This makes it easy, convenient and economical for us to use Chörten's bank account in Brazil and, of course, you can also pay them directly. We have both possibilities. As Bhutan It happens the same way, we will explain. In the case of group installments, we also need to use Chörten's bank account to organize all payments.
50% can be paid upon confirmation place on the trip to guarantee hotel reservations and issue 'domestic' airline tickets (within and between the countries of the trip) at the best possible prices. AND 50% up to 60 days before travel.
