Silvana Duarte

She is an independent artist and educator. Her training includes yoga, movement re-education, motor coordination studies, classical and modern ballet, and specialization in classical dance of ancient India. Her passion is the study of Indian mythology and ancient philosophy.

 

Over the last 30 years he has studied at renowned schools in India, as well as actively working to promote Indian culture in Brazil in association with the Embassy and Consulate General of India in São Paulo. She collaborated in the creation of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center of India, where she served as course coordinator and co-organizer of cultural events. She collaborated in the production of artistic activities during the Gandhi Weeks, organized and carried out by the Palas Athena Association, a representation of UNESCO in Brazil. Silvana received honors with distinction for her work as an artist and promoter of Indian culture, by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations in Delhi in 2005, by the Consulate General and Embassy of India in Brazil in 1998. For the last 13 years Silvana has dedicated herself to accompanying small groups of travellers to India, prioritizing programs outside the conventional tourist itinerary.
